TORNEY FUNERAL HELD AT OSAGE
Conduct Last Rites for Farmer Who was Trampled by Horses

Osage – Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Shelledy funeral home for Henry Torney, 66, who died Wednesday at a Mason City hospital. The services were in charge o the Rev. H. M. Grant at the Osage Methodist church.

Mr. Torney was injured Tuesday morning when he was trampled by horses in a stall at his farm west of here. He had gone to feed the horses when his sister, Mrs. Sam Costley, heard a noise and found him lying between the horses. She dragged him out of the stall. He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital.

Mr. Torney spent his entire life on this farm where the accident occurred. He was unmarried. Surviving is his sister. Burial was at the Osage cemetery.
