GROFF SERVICE HELD IN CHURCH
Former Riceville Resident Succumbs to Breakdown in Waterloo

Riceville, June 15th – Funeral services were held Sunday for Mrs. Roy Groff, Waterloo, at the First Congregational church in Riceville. Mrs. Groff was a former Riceville resident, Charlotte Volkart. She lived near New Haven since her marriage. A Few months ago the Groffs moved to Waterloo where Mrs. Groff suffered a nervous breakdown and died.

She leaves her husband, a son, her mother, and several brothers and sisters.

Charlotte (Volkart) Groff was the daughter of William Henry Volkart 1860-1914 Matilda Augusta (Stark) Volkart 1870-1936. She married Roy Groff 1896-1975. They had one son R. Dale Groff, who married Mary Ellen DeLaney in December 1946.
