AUGUST RUECHEL

St. Ansgar – Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church here for August Ruechel, 90, lifelong St. Ansgar area resident.

Mr. Ruechel died Friday at an Osage Hospital. The Rev. Walter Schroeer, Riceville, will be in charge of the services. The Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Lora) Tucker, San Antonio, Tex.; a son, Alvin, St. Ansgar, and four grandchildren.

The Ruechels had celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in November.

According to a newspaper article about their anniversary his wifes maiden name was Tesch. The article also said that he was born in Leeds, Columbia, Wisconsin, the son of Edward Ruechel.
