Norbert Casey

Osage – Norbert Casey, 51, was killed in an auto accident, near Long Beach, Calif., August 30. Chief petty officer Casey was stationed near Long Beach with the U.S. Navy. He was to have been retired from the Navy this fall after serving 22 years.

A graduate of the Osage High School with the class of 1928, he attended Loras College, Dubuque, and the University of Iowa.

His survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mary Casey, Osage, who has been visiting at the home of her daughter in California; his sister, Mrs. Kathleen Sacko, Santa Carlos, Calif.; a brother, Paul, Berkeley, Calif.; and a son, Shawn, Santa Carlos.

Funeral services will be held in California.
