Aloys Halfman rites scheduled at Stacyville

STACYVILLE, IOWA — Aloys Halfman, 66, died Monday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. He was a retired farmer.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church. Burial will be in the local cemetery. Hatten & Son Funeral Home will be in charge.

Surviving are his wife, Isabell; five stepchildren, Sister Mary Sebastian, OSF, Dubuque; Avery, Amos, Robert and Raymond Schaefer, Stacyville; six brothers, Albert, Malone, Wisconsin; Joseph, Manly; George, Hubert and Michael, Stacyville; Paul, Campbellsport, Wisconsin; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Simon, Stacyville; a half-sister, Mrs. August Kraemer, Campbellsport, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren. His first wife Kathryn, died in 1949.
