Rites Wednesday for Riceville Man

Riceville---Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church for Charles Elliott, 63, who died at his home here Sunday afternoon. Death followed two heart attacks and a partial paralysis following a stroke.

Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife and 6 brothers and sisters. The brothers are Floyd and Ralph of Riceville; the sisters, Mrs. Orpha Funte, Riceville; Mrs. Orville Swancutt, Charles City; Mrs. Glendon Mulks, White Water, Wis.; Mrs. A. L. Wright, Weyerhauser, Mis.

note* Charles Thomas Elliott was the son of Joseph Franklin "Frank" Elliott and Julia Amelia (Howland) Elliott. Charles was born October 31, 1887 in Fayette County, Iowa, and died at his home in Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa on August 26, 1951. He married Adeline Crawford.
