Dies in California

Charles City, Iowa — Mrs. Melvin Fischer, 700 Clinton street, has received word of the death of her aunt, Miss Lucille Bartle, in a hospital at Altadena, California, following a stroke.

Miss Bartle, a former resident of Osage, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bartle. Mr. Bartle was a former state representative and land owner in Mitchell county.

Survivors include three sisters: Mrs. B. Phillips, Osage; Mrs. Earl Hollister, Pasadena, California; Mrs. Grace McGrady, Verndale, Minnesota; and one brother, William Barth of Mitchell.
