OSAGE, IOWA — Robert Eugene Weber, 65, of Osage, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. He was in the comforting and loving arms of his wife, six children and sister at the time of his death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Osage, with the Rev. Jerry Newland officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery with military rites by the Osage American Legion Post 278.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Champion Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.

He was born Feb. 15, 1932, in Nashua, Iowa, the son of William and Ella (Schultz) Weber. He grew up and attended schools in the New Haven area.

He married Kira Loden on Dec. 10, 1955, in Osage. He was employed by the Osage Municipal Utilities, retiring in 1994.

He was a member of the American Legion and AA in Osage.

He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, traveling, fishing, camping, and spending quality time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Kira, Osage; mother, Ella Weber, Mason City; six children, Donna and David Hanna, and their children, Adam and Dawn, Owatonna, Minn.; Kenneth Weber and his children, Heath and Sam, Manly, Iowa; Diann and Michael Butters, and their children, Nicholas and Jeffrey, Osage; Sheryl and Kevin Gunsallus and their children, Jacqlyn, Jennifer, Jessica, Clear Lake; Theresa and Brian Farmer and their children, Daniel and Bradley, Orchard; four brothers, John Weber, Osage, Jake Weber, Clear lake, Joe Weber, Riceville, and Kenny Weber, Long Beach, Calif.; five sisters, Margaret Linderman, Mason City, Helen Schmidt, Osage, Dorothy Sullivan, Mason City, LaDonna Parker, Charles City, and Jean Friend, Glendora, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, and one sister.
