PETER REICHERTS

Peter Reicherts, 85, who made his home with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bunston, 1527 Forest avenue, died at 1:30 p.m., yesterday at St. Francis Hospital of complications incident to advanced age.

He was born November 18, 1862, at Trear, Germany, and came to this country when he was 18 years old. Mr. Reicherts married Helen Kirst, October 5, 1885, at Osage, Ia.

He spent most of his life on a farm near Riceville, Ia.

Surviving are four sons, Matt and Lloyd, both of Riceville, Albert, New Hampton, and Joe, Dunkerton; and three daughters, Mrs. Hugh Mallon, Peoria, Ill., Mrs. John Schneider, 338 Wyoming street, and Mrs. Bunston.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter.
Mr. Reicherts was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church.
The body is at O’Keefe & Towne funeral home where funeral arrangements are pending.

Funeral services for Peter Reicherts, 85, who resided here with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bunston, at 1527 Forest avenue, and who died here Saturday afternoon in St. Francis hospital of complications incident to advanced age, will be conducted Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Osage, Ia., in Sacred Heart Catholic church by Rev. Fr. Leo Entringer, pastor.
Burial will be in the New Haven, Ia., cemetery. The body was taken fron O’Keefe & Towne funeral home to the farm home of one of his sons, Loy Reicherts, six miles southwest of Riceville Ia., where it will remain until the hour of service.

Note* the son Loy that is mentioned in this article is Aloysius Reicherts and not Lloyd as mentioned in the first article.

PETER REICHERTS’ ESTATE VALUED AT $37, 075.48

Peter Reicherts, 82 who died in Waterloo on November 6, 1948, left an estate with an estimated value of $38, 075.48, according to a preliminary inheritance tax inventory filed Friday in the office of Ira W. Blough, clerk of district court.

The estate consisted of 270 acres of Mitchell county land valued at $27,000; a total of $1,516.14 in the checking account at the First National bank at Riceville, Ia.; notes of $6,889.59; a total of 2,005 bushels of corn valued at $1,904.75 and 1,017 bushels of oats valued at $765
