Funeral Held For
Mrs. Veta Myhre

Funeral services were held March 1, 1980, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lyle for Mrs. Conrad Myhre, 75, with the Reverend Harold Luecke officiating. Interment was in the Woodbury Cemetery, west of Lyle.

L. Veta Pope was born July 5, 1905 in Worth County, the daughter of Alfred B. and Cora Pope.

February 17, 1927 she was united in marriage to Conrad Myhre. They farmed in the Lyle area until 1955 when they moved to North Hollywood, California. In 1956 they returned to Lyle.

Mrs. Myhre died February 27 in Lyle.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters: Mrs. Norman (Alta) Joynes of Albert Lea, Mrs. Paul (LoRetta) Leidall of St. Ansgar, and Mrs. Olaf (Florence) Goldberg of Lyle; one son, Eugene Myhre of Lyle; three sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Marjorie) Nicholsen of Amboy, Minnesota; Mrs. Velma Gaarder of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Irma Osmunson of St. Ansgar; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
