Cynthia Lee Brumm, age 62, of Stacyville, died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2010, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville with Rev. John Moser and Msgr. John Hemann officiating. Burial will be in the Visitation Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Visitation Catholic Church where there will be a scripture wake service at 7:00 p.m.

Cyndie was born September 9, 1947, in Osage, the daughter of John and Corinne (Morse) Grinstead. She was the youngest of thirteen children. Cyndie grew up in the Orchard area and graduated from Osage High School in 1966. On July 20, 1968, she married Roger Brumm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. They made their home in Stacyville where she lived the remainder of her life. Cyndie was a bookkeeper at her husband’s garage for 15 years, but her most important job was raising her family. She enjoyed reading, flowers, fishing, shopping and riding motorcycles.

Cyndie is survived by her husband, Roger Brumm of Stacyville; her children, Christina (James) Pierce of New Market, Minnesota, Gregory (Lori) Brumm of Ankeny, and Elizabeth (Nathan) Loney of Boone; three grandchildren, Mya, Tyler and Geovany; four sisters, Suzie Thurnau, Pee-Wee Johnson, Alice Grinstead and Lynda Retterath; six brothers, Bill, Jack, Jim, Larry, Rich and David Grinstead; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Jerry and Ron Grinstead.
