ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Services for Charley A. Anderson, 93, who died Monday evening at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. at the Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home; burial in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Glenn of Clinton; one daughter, Mrs. Lucy Van Every of McIntire; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Tillie Carberry of Council Bluffs.

C.A. ANDERSON
Funeral services for Charles Anderson, 93, of St. Ansgar, were held at the Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home July 1. Burial was at the St. Ansgar cemetery, and the Rev. W. Gjerde of Osage was in charge.
Charles A. Anderson, son of Gunder and Turina Anderson, was born in Deer Creek township, Worth county, Iowa, on August 30, 1877, the eldest of five children.
On May 1, 1901, he was united in marriage with Emily Elizabeth Carberry at the Methodist parsonage in Northwood, with Rev. Cole in charge. Three children were born to this union: Glenn Marion of Clinton, Lucy Rena Van Every of of McIntire, and Charles Emmett who died at birth. With the exception of two years, when he homesteaded in Kansas, all of his life time was spent in the Meltonville, Bolan, Council Bluffs and St. Ansgar areas. Mr. Anderson was a member of the St. Ansgar United Methodist Church.
Mr. Anderson is survived by two children; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Tilda (Tillie) Carberry of Council Bluffs and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one son and three brothers.
