RICEVILLE, IOWA — Lelah Kathryn Barnes, 82, died on Friday, April 24, 1998, at her residence in Riceville.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Lindstrom Funeral Home, Riceville, with the Rev. Edythe Hill officiating. Burial will be at the Wayne Cemetery in McIntire, Iowa.

Visitation was held on Monday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home, Riceville.

Lelah Kathryn Eastman Barnes was born May 25, 1915, on a farm in Buchanan County near Hazelton.

She is survived by two brothers, Herbert Eastman, of Austin, Minn., and Jimmy Eastman, of Riceville; three sisters, Shirley Bucknell, of Leroy, Minn., Esther Doane, of Little Cedar, and Lois Edgeton, of Pine River, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and five brothers.
