Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, November 7, 2001. 10:30 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church for Pat Dahlhauser, age 72, of Webster City, formerly of Osage. Rev. Mike Morgan and Candi O'Brien, ministry assistant, will officate. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Foster Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pat died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge.

Patricia Ann Bateman, daughter of Leigh (Pat) and Nola Dale Bateman, was born July 8, 1929 at Medford, OR. She received her education in California, Illinois and Iowa, graduating from Lincoln High School in Webster City in 1947. On Aug. 21, 1948 she married Carol Dahlhauser at Webster City. The couple lived at Jesup, Webster City and resided in Osage for 33 years, where she was employed as bookeeper for Osage Lumber and was an Avon Representative. She also wrote a column called "Pat's Pantry" for the Mitchell County Press News in Osage.

In 1985 the couple moved to Cumberland, WI for 10 years where she was bookeeper for Lampert Lumber Co., retiring to Webster City in 1995. Mr. Dahlhauser died on Oct. 4, 2000.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, taught tole painting classes in Osage, enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, baking and cooking for her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Carol; a son, Kris Dahlhauser and brother-in-law, Richard Strain.

Those that survive her include a daughter, Melinda Dahlhauser of Webster City; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Carlson of Stanhope; grandchildren, Robin Cushman, Amy Hubbard and Casey Dahlhauser all of Webster City, Katie and Megan Carlson both of Stanhope, five great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Verlaine and Bill Salstrom of Lacey, WA, Belva Strain of Waterloo, Linda and Mike Rosalez of Webster City; mother-in-law, Bernice Dahlhauser of Webster City; sister-in-law, Vicki Koop of Webster City and several nieces and nephews.
