AUTO ACCIDENT INJURIES FATAL TO PAUL DAHL OF LYLE

FUNERAL RITES TO BE THURSDAY

Father of Victim Hardware Dealer;
Two Others Not Hurt.

LYLE, MINN, July 19 — Paul Dahl, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dahl, died here yesterday from injuries received when the auto in which he was riding went into a ditch. His father operates a hardware store here.

Dahl was riding with two companions, Carroll Hies and Harold Johnson, returning from London, Minnesota, when an axle of the car broke and the auto went into the ditch. The group was evidently traveling at a fast rate of speed, as Dahl was thrown about 45 feet.

Concussion of the brain and bruises were suffered by Dahl, who never regained consciousness. The other two boys were not injured.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the home. Interment will be in the Mona cemetery**.

Two, boys in the Dahl family were victims of drowning eight years ago.

**Note: Technically the "Mona Cemetery" would be the Farley Cemetery, on the south edge of Mona, but Paul is buried in Pleasant Hill cemetery which is about a half mile south of Mona.
