KATHERINE DODGE DIES AT 83
RITES PENDING

Osage: Funeral rites are pending for Mrs. Katherine Dodge, 83, who died late Tuesday morning at the Cedar Valley Hospital, Charles City. She suffered a heart attack in the early morning at her home. The body is at the Champion Funeral Home, where rites are pending. Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery.

Born Katherine Newberry, March 31, 1877, to George and Rebecca Newberry, near Colwell, she was married in 1902. The couple farmed in and near Orchard all their married life. Her husband preceded her in death in 1956.

Survivors include a son, Glen, Orchard; two grandchildren, and a brother, Benjamin Newberry, Delta, Colo.
