(wife of Herman Julius Lincke 1864-1939)

Waterloo Daily Courier, Thursday February 16, 1950

Osage---Mrs. Amelia Lincke, 90, died Wednesday at home of son, Paul. Funeral rites tentatively set for Friday at 2 p.m. at the Champion funeral home; burial in Mitchell cemetery.

She was born at Posen, Germany, September 15, 1859 and came to America with her sister in 1883, settling with a brother in Pennsylvania.

On July 20, 1884, she was married to Herman Julis Lincke, also German born. She lived the first five years at Shamokin, Pa., then near Grafton, Ia., coming to Mitchell, Ia., in 1891 where she lived more than 40 years. Her husband preceded her in death in 1939. She has made her home with children.

She leaves four sons, Paul; Charles; Emil; Rudolph, all of Osage; two daughters, Mrs. Alton Markham, Osage, and Mrs. Carl Belseth Santa Ana, Cal.; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Also preceding her were four children, six brothers and four sisters
