FUNERAL HELD FOR PIONEER

HERMAN LINCKE, 76, WAS BORN IN GERMANY; CAME TO IOWA IN 1891

Osage---Funeral services were held here Thursday afternoon for Herman Lincke, 76, who died Tuesday afternoon after a long illness.

Born in Drossen, Germany March 2, 1864, he came to New York at the age of 18. He was married July 20, 1884 to Emily Rappath. In 1891, the family moved to Grafton and two years later to Mitchell. Since last December he has made his home with his sons here in Osage.

Surviving are his widow and children; Mrs. Julia Markham; Paul; Charles; Emil and Rudolph, all of Osage; Mrs. Louise Loney of Mason City and six grandchildren. Burial was in the cemetery at Mitchell.
