Joseph H. Hackenmiller [1919 - 2001]

Joseph H. Hackenmiller, age 82, of Lansing, Minnesota, died Thursday evening, June 21, 2001 at St. Mark's Lutheran Home, Austin, Minnesota. A funeral mass was celebrated Monday, June 25, 2001 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Brownsdale, Minnesota, with Father Hubert Boschert officiating. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery in Rose Creek, Minnesota. Graveside military rites by American Legion Post #91 of Austin, Minnesota. Mayer Funeral Home, Austin, was in charge of arrangements.

Joseph was born March 28, 1919 in Meyer, Iowa, to Joseph and Gertrude (Neis) Hackenmiller. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Mary Wendel in August of 1957 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Rose Creek. He was a grain truck driver and enjoyed baseball games, fishing and spending time with his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brother and sister in law, Joseph and Gertrude Hackenmiller, brother Rudolph Hackenmiller and brother-in-law Paul Mayer.

Survivors include his sister, Margaret Mayer of Osage and a sister-in-law, Marcella Hacken-miller of Stacyville, and many nieces and nephews.
