Death of Mina Evenson

Mina Evenson was born August 14, 1891 in the Rock Creek settlement, Floyd county, where her parents, Martin Evenson and Oline Peterson were among the early settlers. A few years ago they rented their farm and moved to Osage where they bought a home on west Main street. Here Mina died June 15th at the age of twelve years, ten months, one day.

Her years of pilgrimage were not many, but it could truly be said of her, she increased in wisdom and statute and in favor with God and man.
Her talents were above the average, and she was of such pleasant and loving disposition. This was not a place for her tender and sensitive nature, but now when you will meet her again, you will see her in those almighty, loving, comforting arms of Jesus; you will see your child, sister and friend at rest; no sigh shall ever pass her lips again; no tear bedew her fair countenance; there we shall see her and those lips that joined us there in the sweet melodies of the angels to the praise of Christ our savior.

Her parents, one brother and five sisters survive her.

The funeral was held in the Lutheran church June 17th and she was laid to rest in the Osage cemetery.
