August Ehlke, 1917-1997

OSAGE, IOWA -- August Ehlke, age 80, of Osage, died on Wednesday, December 10, 1997, at the Faith Lutheran Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, with the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa.

August Ehlke was born September 12, 1917, in Union Township, Mitchell County, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Viola, Osage; two daughters, Joanne Hyland, Orchard, and Carolyn Tommeraas, Zumbro Falls, Minnesota; one brother, Ewald Ehlke Sr., Toterville; and one grandson.

Ehlke was preceded in death by his parents.

The Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.
