Nellie Soneva Gunderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gunderson, was born near St. Ansgar, Ia., February 26, 1896.

She was baptized April 27, 1896 and confirmed in the Lutheran faith August 21, 1910.

In October 1913 she was stricken with Hodkins Disease. Medical and surgical aid was given her at home, at Rochester, Minn., and Milwaukee, Wis., but to no avail. She gradually failed and died at her home March 17, 1915.

The funeral was conducted by Rev. Waldeland Saturday, March 20th, at the United Lutheran church and her remains were laid to rest in the United Lutheran Cemetery at St. Ansgar.

Nellie is survived by both her parents and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. I. Havskjold, Kremlin, Mont.; Gustav Gunderson, Claresholm, Alberta, Can.; Julius and Gilbert Gunderson, Monarch, Alberta, Can.; Mrs. Ed Gaarder, Joplin, Mont.; Mrs. A.C. Groth, George Gunderson, Mrs. P.A. Larson, Jr., Knud Gunderson and Lillie Gunderson, all from the vicinity of St. Ansgar.
