ROMAN CITURS RITES FRIDAY AT NORTHWOOD

Northwood: Roman Citurs, 81, a farmer in Deer Creek Township, died Tuesday at his home. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church. The Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer, St. Ansgar, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Rest Cemetery with Conner Funeral Home in charge.

Surviving are his wife, Bessie, Five sons, Ray E. Mason City; Leon E. Northwood; Earl L, Northwood; Roman A., St. Ansgar; Karl, Scranton; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Marge) Johnson, St. Ansgar; Mrs. Sidney (Ruby) Harmon, Northwood; Mrs. LuVern (Esther) Flatness, Sparta, Mo; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Also surviving are four sisters and a brother. His brother, John, 68, died Wednesday.

(note: Roman was born October 7, 1878 in Carpenter, Mitchell, Iowa and married Bessie McAnally. His parents were Rock and Henrietta Citurs who are buried in the Rosewood (Newberg Cemetery) in Carpenter, Mitchell, Iowa. )
