OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral services were here Monday for Mrs. William DeLaney, 70, burial in the Little Cedar cemetery.

Nee Minnie McPhail she was born in Union township, Mitchell county, March 1, 1875, the daughter of Robert and Mary Foster McPhail. In March 1895, she was married to Fred E. Hill, and they established their home on the farm north of Little Cedar. They were the parents of Grant, Verna, Stannard and Fred Hill.

She also cared for her husbands' two sons, Jay and Clinton, who had been left motherless.

In June, 1912, Mr. Hill died and in September 1923, she was married to William O. Delaney, and they have since resided in Stacyville and Little Cedar.

She leaves her husband, four children, Grant and Fred Hill, Riceville; Mrs. Willis Gaines and Stannard Hill, Osage; a stepson J. E. Hill, Minneapolis, Minn.; one sister Mrs. S. E. Emerson, Little Cedar; 10 grandchildren

Her parents, two brothers, Al and Jay McPhail; and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Morrissey and Mrs. Helen Decker, preceded her in death. Mrs. Delaney was a member of the Little Cedar Methodist church for over 50 years
