SAINTLY MOTHER PASSED AWAY

Mrs. Elizabeth Miller Died Tuesday Morning at Home of Daughter, Mrs. F. J. Cromer.

Another saintly lady closed the last page of life's book and passed peacefully to her reward on the other shore at 11:20 Tuesday morning. We refer to Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, who suffered several strokes in the few days preceding her passing, the first of which was last Saturday.

The maiden name of the deceased was Elizabeth Siewers, and she was born May 15, 1845, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. At the age of 15 she came with her family to Galena, Illinois, where on November 11, 1864, she was united in marriage with Charles H. Miller of that place. That city was their home until he passes away in February, 1903 since which time she has made her home with her four children, these being Mrs. F.J. Cromer and Miss Anna Miller of this city, Mrs. John Cromer of Galena, Illinois, and Wm. T. Miller of Savanna, Illinois. Besides these she is survived by twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Many of her happiest hours in late years were those when her grandchildren were around her.

Her loved ones did everything possible to make the closing years of her life the happy ones they were. She was nearly 79 years of age and had never required the services of a doctor until a few days before her death. She was a (incomplete). . . .

Miller Passed Away
Following Stroke

Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, mother of Mrs. F. J. Cromer and Miss Anna Miller, passed away at the Cromer home Tuesday morning, at 11:20 o'clock. Last Saturday she suffered a stroke of paralysis, from which she never regained consciousness.

Elizabeth Siewers was born on May 15, 1845, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and with the entire family, emigrated to America when she was 15 years of age.

They came immeditely to Galena, Ilinois to make their home, and on November 11, 1864, she was united in marriage to Charles H. Miller at that place. Four children were born to them, all of whome survive: Mrs. F. J. Cromer, Osage; Miss Anna Miller, of Osage; Mrs. John Cromer, Galena, Illinois, and Will F. Miller, Savannah, Illinois, also twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Miller lived in Galena until the former's death, February 1923, and since that time Mrs. Miller has made her home with her children.

A goodly share of the time was spent in Osage, and her large circle of friends here mourn the passing of a kind friend, and a woman of beautiful character.

Funeral services will be held from the Cromer home Thursday forenoon at 10:30 o'clock. Reverend W. T. Smith, of the Methodist Church, will conduct the services, and burial will be made in the Osage Cemetery beside her husband.
