AGED OSAGE MAN DIES OF LEUKEMIA
OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral services were incomplete Monday for William Madison, 80, who died of leukemia at a hospital in Mason City Sunday evening after an illness of four years. The body is at the Champion Funeral Home.
After his marriage to Georgianna Smalley in Osage in 1893, they lived the first 10 years in Osage, moved to Mason City in 1913 where they lived until 1932, returning to Osage. He was a mason and roofer by trade.
Survivors include the widow, sons, Merle of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and David of Sheridan, Wyoming, three daughters, Mrs. Carl Jeffries, Osage; Mrs. J. E. Faktor, Sheridan, Wyoming, and Mrs. Newell Hugi, Mason City, three grandchildren, six great grandchilden and a sister, Mrs. Betta Helm, Westfield, N.J.
Mr. Madison was born December 23, 1871 near Fremont, Nebraska, to Dave and Becky Ann Madison. As an infant, he came with his parents to a farm south of Osage.
