Stacyville, Iowa - John May, 82, died at his home here Tuesday after several months illness of complications of age; born in Germany and when a young man came to America; spent most of his life farming, retiring several years ago; leaves wife, Laura, four children, Wilbur, Rock Falls; Mrs. Joe Halfman, Manly; Mrs Barnes, Osage; eight grand-children and one great grand-child; lifelong member of the Catholic church.

Note -- John May married Laura Decker, daughter of Martin and Susan (Small) Decker.
