Former North Iowa Resident Succumbs.

Charles City: Frank Engels, 82, died Friday in a San Francisco, Cal., hospital. Mr. Engels was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Howard Morse and Steve Meyer, both of Charles City; Mrs. Hugh Murray, Mason City; and Mrs. Mary Rivers, John Meyer, Peter Meyer, Will Meyer and Joe Meyer, all of New Haven. The body is being returned to Iowa, and burial will take place in New Haven.

Mrs. Engels died June 27, this year, while the couple was in Charles City for a summer vacation. Mr. Engels had undergone an appendicitis operation at the Cedar Valley hospital here a few weeks earlier, returned to San Francisco about 5 weeks ago and was hospitalized almost immediately there.

He is survived by a son, Emil Engels, a grandson and grand-daughter, all of San Francisco, and a sister in Los Angeles.
