STACYVILLE, IOWA — Joseph Hoven, 65, of rural Stacyville, died Thursday (Nov. 10, 2005) at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, 702 State St. in Osage, with the Rev. Robert Melhorn officiating. Inurnment will be in the Catholic Cemetery in LaCrosse, Wis.

Following the service, there will be a time for lunch and fellowship.

Memorial service for Joseph Hoven, age 65, of rural Stacyville, Iowa, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home at 702 State St. in Osage, Iowa, with Rev. Robert Melhorn officiating.

Inurnment will be in The Catholic Cemetery in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Joseph died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Joseph was born March 31, 1940, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Joseph H. and Frances (Rhody) Hoven. He attended schools in Cudahay, and graduated from high school in Burlington, Wisc. Joseph married Carol Ikert on June 6, 1964 at LaCrosse, Wisc. They farmed in Cashton, Wisc. They then purchased a motel in New London, Iowa, after which they moved to Adams, Minn. Carol died in 1983, Joseph then purchased a farm near Meyer, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carol; and a brother, Paul Hoven.

Joseph is survived by two sons, Michael Hoven and his wife Pam and their children, Shannon and Michael of Lake Elmo, Minn., and Mark Hoven and his wife Wanda and their children, Ryley, Taylor and Brooke of Ankeny, Iowa; two sisters, Loretta Hoven of Yazoo City, Miss., and Cecelia Nuck of Milwaukee, Wisc.

Arrangements were by Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, 641-732-3706.
