Funeral services were held Monday at the First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar for Nute Carson, 75, who died at his home Thursday after two years of failing health. Rev. Olaf A. Langehough conducted the services and burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery.

Born near Otranto, December 15, 1878, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christoffer Carson and has lived his entire life in and near St. Ansgar, working for many years as an employee of the Interstate Power company.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife and survivors are two children, Claire of St. Ansgar, and a daughter, Mrs. Lucy Field of Austin. He also leaves one grandson, Terry Field of Austin.
