Funeral services for Alva A. Chancellor, 69, who died at the Osage Nursing Home Monday evening, January 22 will be held Thursday, January 25 at the Schroeder & Houg Funeral Home here at 2 p.m.

Mr. Chancellor, long associated with the Farmers Poultry Service here, had been in failing health for several months.

Burial will be in the St. Ansgar cemetery.

Alva Chancellor was born in Coles County, Illinois July 23, 1892. He was united in marriage with Lulu Maude Hickle in 1915 after which they moved to St. Ansgar where he had resided until six months ago when he was admitted to the Mitchell County Memorial hospital and later the Osage Nursing Home.

He is survived by one brother, three sisters; three children, Richard, Irma and Robert; also three grandchildren, Roger, Martha and Margaret Chancellor.
