Weldon L. Read -- 1914-1976

CARPENTER, IOWA - Services for Weldon L. Read, 62, who died Tuesday [Nov. 2, 1976] at his home were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Deer Creek Lutheran. Church in Carpenter, and at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell; burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Jewell.

Survivors include his wife, Viola; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Johnson of Spencer; a son, William of
Carpenter; a sister, Mrs. Arlene Pierce of Webster City; and two brothers, Hadley of Champaign, Illinois, and Robert of Kadoka, South Dakota.

Conner Colonial Chapel of Northwood is in charge of arrangements.
