PLAN SERVICES OF MRS. HEARD

Will Conduct Funeral of Pioneer Resident of Carpenter Wednesday

CARPENTER, IOWA -- Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at the First Methodist church in St. Ansgar for Mrs. Bessie A. Heard who died at the home of her son, Elmer, on Sunday after an illness of several days.

She was born at Janesville, Ohio, in 1863 and came to Iowa as a pioneer.

She is survived by six children, Mrs. C. D. Danforth of Glendale, Cal.; George Heard of Eagle Grove and Elmer and Walter of Carpenter; Floyd of Lyle, Minn., and Oakie of St. Ansgar.

Mrs. Heard lived in this vicinity for 30 years.
