Ida Marie Helena Dieterich Kroneman, 1892-1978
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Marie Kroneman, 85, who died at the Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City Saturday, February 4, were held Tuesday, February 7 at First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating.
Ida Marie Helena Dieterich was born in Corwith, Iowa, December 28, 1892, the daughter of Wilhelm and Emma (Kirchgatter) Dieterich. She was baptized February 5, 1893 by the Rev. Schumacher at Corwith, and confirmed March 24, 1907 at St. John's Lutheran church, Rock township, by the Rev. John Becker.
February 21, 1915 she was married to Paul F. Kroneman at St. John's Lutheran church with the Rev. W. Reinecke officiating. Four sons were born to them. They farmed in Mitchell county all of their married life until 1953 when they moved to St. Ansgar. The past two years Mrs. Kroneman had been a resident of the Chautaugua Guest Home in Charles City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 1955; and one son, Harvey, in 1966.
Mrs. Kroneman is survived by three sons, Lloyd W. Kroneman of St. Ansgar; Herbert O. Kroneman, Charles City; and Elmer F. Kroneman of St. Ansgar; one brother, Ervin Dieterich of Northwood; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Duenow of Albert Lea, Minn. And Mrs. Frieda Feldt, Osage; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Burial was in First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Engelstad in charge of committal services.
