TRAGIC DEATH OF BABY

Mildred Block, 14 months old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Block, died on Monday afternoon from injuries sustained by being trampled on by a horse. The little one was playing in the yard and her father was hitching up some horses. The child toddled up, probably to be near her father, and one of the horses stepped on her. She was immediately brought to St. Ansgar, and died within half an hour at Dr. Westenberger's office.

The Blocks have lived on the James Hume farm south of St. Ansgar, since the Tidemansons moved away. They came here from the Meroa district. They have another daughter, Anne Elizabeth, aged 4 years.

Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 followed by services at the First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar.
