FRED BUNTROCK JR.

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Fred Buntrock Jr., 64, of St. Ansgar, died Monday (Oct. 23, 2000) in Blossom, Texas.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toeterville, with the Rev. Daniel Wee officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Toeterville.

There will be no visitation. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements, (641) 736-4920.

Fred Buntrock, Jr.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, November 1, 2000 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toeterville for Fred Buntrock, Jr., age 64 of St. Ansgar, Iowa.

Reverend Daniel Wee officiated. Inurnment was in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Toeterville. He died Monday, October 23, 2000 in a semi-truck accident by Blossom, Texas,

Fred was born April 25, 1936 to Alvina Weber Buntrock and Fred Buntrock, Sr. in Stacyville. He was baptized on May 15, 1938 and confirmed March 18, 1951 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toeterville.

He attended St. Ansgar Community School. In June of 1957, he married Shallia Tonga. He lived most of his life around the Toeterville area operating a dairy farm and trucking business. In 1989 he became employed by Manly Trucking out of Gretna, Nebraska, until early 2000. He was currently employed by Mihm Trucking out of Ft. Atkinson, Iowa.

Preceding him in death were his son Wade; his father Fred, Sr., and several uncles.

He is survived by his sons, Dean and Glen Buntrock, both of St. Ansgar; a daughter, Karla Schaefer of Austin, Minnesota; a daughter-in-law Tami of St. Ansgar; a son-in-law Jeff Schaefer of Austin, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Eric, Corey, and Demi Buntrock, all of St. Ansgar; Kaitlyn and Hailey Schaefer of Austin, Minnesota; and his mother, Alvina Barlow of New Hope, Minnesota.
