Funeral services for Mrs. Monroe Bullis, 61 of St. Ansgar who died Friday, October 16, 1959 at Independence from complications resulting from Parkinson's disease and bronchial pneumonia, were held Monday, October 19 at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. Don Hamilton officiating.
Clara Keith was born December 25, 1897 in Hopkinton, Iowa, the daughter of Elizabeth and Wiliam Keith. She was married to Monroe Bullis, February 15, 1917 and they made their home in Nashua until moving to St. Ansgar in 1933. Four children were born to this union. She was a telephone operator in St. Ansgar for many years.
Mrs. Bullis is survived by her husband, three sons, Thurlow of Waterloo, Vallejo of Osage, Reginald of LaPorte City, and Maybeth (Mrs. Alex Raeburn) of Milwaukee, Wis. Also seven grandchildren, three sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Hamilton in charge of the committal services.
