ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Mrs. Martin Tollefson, 65, passed away last Thursday morning after a lingering illness, at her home west of town. She is survived by her husband and one son, Clifford. The funeral was held at the First Lutheran church, Saturday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. O. A. Langehough.

Those who came from away to attend the funeral were Judge T. and Mrs. Medin, of Sioux Falls, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Peterson, of Dell Rapids, S.D., Mrs. Amanda Miller, of Highmore, S.D., Adolph Anderson of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. George Boehier, of Coon Rapids, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tollefson and three children, of St. Paul, Minn.

Cancer Proves Fatal
to Local Resident
on Feburary 2

Last rites were held for Mrs. Martin Tollefson Saturday afternoon from her home and from the First Lutheran Church with the Reverend Olaf A. Langehough, pastor, in charge of the obsequies.

Edith Lovestrom Tollefson was born April 24, 1874 at St. Ansgar, and passed away after a lingering illness at her home west of St. Ansgar, February 2.

She was confirmed by Reverend M. E. Waldeland and was united in marriage to Martin Tollefson June 15, 1897. To this union was born three children, two of who preceded her in death.

To her friends she was known as Ida. The past few years she has been in failing health, but up until just before Christmas she was able to carry on as usual. January 2 she was taken to Rochester for examination and was dismissed on January 4 from the hospital in order to spend the remaining days at home.

Mrs. Tollefson had been an active member in the Ladies Aid and Cemetery societies for many years, always ready to do her share of the necessary work. She joined the First Lutheran Church through adult confirmation in 1908.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, one son, Clifford of St. Ansgar, and one grandson, also two sisters; Mrs. Will Moran and Mrs. L.L. Larson of Seattle, Washington, three brothers; John Lovestrom of Stephen, Minnesota, James Lovestrom of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Frank Lovestrom of Adams, North Dakota, also many relatives and friends.

Those from a distance who were in attendance at the funeral services Saturday were as follows; James Lovestrom of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tollefson and family of St. Paul; Mrs. Tillie Donhowe of Story City, Iowa; Judge J. T. and Mrs Medin of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Mrs. Amanda Miller of Highmore, South Dakota, Adolph Anderson of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Peterson of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, Mr. and Mrs. George Boebler, Coon Rapids, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Garvy of Nora Springs, Mrs. Mamie Cutler and Myra of Osage, Mrs. George Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Carson of Bolan, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Butler of Northwood, Mr. and Mrs. Rueban Rustad of Northwood, Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Thompson of Grafton, and Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Lovestrom, Stephen, Minnesota
