Ray Rosenberg funeral held at First Lutheran
Funeral services for Raymond Duane Rosenberg, Jr, age 43, who died Sunday, September 28, 1997, will be held Thursday, October 2, 1997, at the First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, with Reverend Robert Porisch officiating. Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1, at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home.
Ray was born March 20, 1954 in Mitchell County, baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Lutheran faith. Ray graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1972. He moved around the United States living in Colorado, Minnesota, Waterloo, Iowa and settling in Savannah, Georgia in 1990 where he established his own business. He moved to Americus, Georgia in 1996.
Ray enjoyed spending times with his family escecially at his grandparents, where his grandfatrher, Archie introduced him to fishing, hunting and trapping, which were his favorite hobbies until his illness. Ray belonged to a hunting lodge in Georgia and spent vacations in Quebeck with his mother, his son, Ray III, his wife Celine and her family.
Ray is survived by his wife, Celine Dallaire of Americus, Georgia; three sons, Raymond Rosenberg III of Americus, Georgia, Brian K. of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Matthew K. of Waterloo; a daughter, Heidi Harms of Merrillville, Indiana; one granddaughter, Hannah Harms of Merrillbille, Indiana; son-in-law, Mark Marms of Merrillville, Indiana; mother, Barbara Rosenberg, St. Ansgar; two brothers, Randy of Heidelberg, Germany and Rick of Los Angeles, California; five sisters, Terri Johnson, Elmore, Minnesota; Karen Kittleson, St. Ansgar; Sharon Krebsbach, Cold Springs, Minnesota, Rebecca Streit, Monticello; Debra White, Mason City; maternal grandmother, Gwendolyn Pike, St. Ansgar; and paternal grandmother, Anna Rosenberg, St. Ansgar.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Duane Rosenberg, Sr., and by both grandfathers, Archie Pike and George Rosenberg.
