KOCH FUNERAL IN ST. ANSGAR
Pioneer Banker of Mitchell County
Was 83 Years Old.ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - July 1. — The funeral service for the late Julius F. Koch, 83 years old, president of the Citizen's bank of St. Ansgar and pioneer resident of Mitchell county were held at the Immanuel Lutheran church this afternoon.
Mr. Koch's wife died about a year ago.
He is survived by his son, Oscar Koch, cashier of the bank and grandson, Lloyd Koch, also an officer of the bank, and granddaughter, Laura Koch Lane, wife of Professor Russell Lane of Madison, Wisconsin.
Mr. Koch was one of the outstanding builders of the community for many years. He was in good health until about three years ago and was a familiar figure on the street.
He was an active member of the Immanuel church (German.) The Rev. Paul Brammer, will have charge of the service.

NOTES: Mr. Koch opened a lumber yard in 1883. He was also the first president of the Citizens Bank, which was established in 1900.
