Mrs. Agnette Finstad, whose death was announced in out last issue, was born in Nordiland [sp?], Norway, March 1827, and died at her home near St. Ansgar, Iowa on August 28, 1899, being therefore 72 years of age.

She was married to Andreas O. Finstad who survives her, in 1846, and they celebrated their golden wedding three years ago.

They came to America in 1880 arriving here the 11th of June and have lived in and near here ever since. Nine children were born to them, six of whom are living, two in this vicinity and four abroad.

The funeral was held August 30 at the Norwegian Lutheran church conducted by Rev. J. Olsen.
