Funeral Services for Mrs. Anna Borsheim, a former St. Ansgar resident who died Saturday, will be held this Friday, July 3 at the First Lutheran Church here at 2 P.M. The Reverend Don Comnick is in charge of services, with burial in Riverside Cemetery south of St. Ansgar. Schroeder & Houg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Anna Carolina Borsheim, 88, passed away in Seattle, Washington, June 27, 1964 after a brief illness.

She was born August 22, 1875, in Heden, Sweden. Mrs. Borsheim was the daughter of August and Mathilda Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed in Sweden by the Reverend Palmgren.

In 1897 at the age of 22, she came to America and made her home with her sister, Mrs. Louis Preston of Northwood.

On Spetember 1, 1902 she was married to Nels A. Borsheim in the First Lutheran Church of St. Ansgar. She was a member of this church until the time of her passing.

Most of her married live was spent on the Borsheim farm 3½ miles south of St. Ansgar, but at the time of her husband’s death November 18, 1946, they were living in St. Ansgar.

In 1947 she moved to Seattle to make her home with her daughter, Myrtle.

Besides her daughter, she leaves to mourn her passing, a brother, Carl Anderson of Seattle and several nieces and nephews.
