Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, October 9, 1996, 10:30 A. M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, for Gertrude A. Boerjan, 76, of St. Ansgar. Reverend Dennis Cahill will officiate and burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery. She died Sunday, October 6, 1996 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota.

Gertrude A. Boerjan was born January 28, 1920 near Plymouth, Iowa to Matie (Bartz) and George W. Borchardt. She married Ben Boerjan on September 10, 1938 at Sacred Heart Church in Osage.

Preceding her in death were her father; one daughter; and one granddaughter.

Survivors include her husband, Ben of St. Ansgar; two daughters, Myrna Hrubeta of Prescott, Wisconsin and Gwen Reiss of Ellendale, Minnesota; and two sons, Roger of St. Ansgar and Gary of San Dimas, California; her mother, Matie Borchardt of St. Ansgar; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Merland Borchardt of Osage and George Borchardt, Jr. of Holland, Iowa.
