Otranto Farmer Dies in Crash Near Austin

OTRANTO, IOWA — Funeral services will be tomorrow for Kenneth Markham, 49, killed in a
one-car crash Friday evening near Austin, Minnesota.

Mr. Markham a native of tho Osage area who had been farming near Otranto the past 26 years, was killed when his vehicle hit a bridge abutment southeast of Austin.

Services will be at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lyle Minn. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Surviving Mr. Markham is his wife, a teacher in the Austin schools; two daughters, Virginia, a student at Austin Junior College; and Elizabeth, at home; two sons, John in the Air Force at Kansas City, and Jerry, at home; his mother, Mrs. Nellie Markham, Osage, and brother Donald, Mason City.

Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
