AXEL ROE DIES AT ROCHESTER
Funeral Services to Be Saturday for LeRoy, Minn., Man
LEROY, MINNESOTA — Axel Roe died at the Rochester hospital early Wednesday morning where he had been taken Tuesday for care.
He was born in Norway in 1865 and came to America at the age of 24 and was engaged in railroading near Cedar Rapids until 1898 when he took up farming in northern Iowa and west of LeRoy where he had lived since.
He is survived by his wife to whom he was married in 1892, five sons, Otis, Conrad, Arthur Theodore and Archibald, one daughter, Alma, who is at home, a brother, Arthur, at home. Another brother, Lewis, lives at Des Moines.
Funeral services will be at the West Lutheran church Saturday at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Mr. Brevik of Adams in charge.
