Funeral services were held Thursday August 18, 1988 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, for Bernice Anderson 78 of Minneapolis, Minnesota, formerly of Osage. The Reverend Dennis Hanson officiated and burial was in Osage Cemetery. She died Monday, August 15, 1988 at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis of natural causes.

She was born July 21, 1910 at Enderlin, North Dakota, to Oscar and Laura (Staff) Krogstad. She moved with her family to Mitchell County, Iowa in 1917.

She attended rural schools and graduated from Osage High School in 1928. She took practical nurses training at Fairview Hospital and worked there several years.

On August 24, 1935, she married Andy Anderson in Minneapolis.

In 1973 Mrs. Anderson retired from the Minneapolis Board of Education after working there for 22 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died October 12, 1951; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include two sons, David of Eden Prairie and Douglas of Minneapolis; a sister, Mrs. Carl (Sylvia) Duenow of Clear Lake, Iowa; two brothers, Lloyd and Glen Krogstad, both of Osage; and two grandchildren.

Bernice Mildred Krogstad was born July 21, 1910 at Enderlin, Ransom, North Dakota to Oscar Ludvig Krogstad and Laura Staff, the fourth of their ten children.

Bernice married Adolph Ingvald Anderson on August 10th, 15th or 24th (?), 1935 at the Minnehaha Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. The couple had 2 sons.

Bernice Anderson died August 15, 1988 at Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota and was buried at the Osage Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
