OSAGE, IOWA -- Frank Lohr, pioneer furniture merchant, died in his sleep Sunday morning at his home at Long Beach, California. He left Osage about 25 years ago to superintend an apartment buildng. He retired from business about five years ago.

Mr. Lohr was born at Osage in 1862, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lohr. Following his father's death he carried on the furniture business. He married Grace Wilson, Osage.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Lewis, Long Beach, Cal.; a son, Donald, also of Long Beach; a sister, Amelia Lohr, of Sioux City, Iowa; and a brother, Fred Lohr, Sioux City.
