Naig Funeral Rites Pending; Dies at Osage

OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral rites are pending for Peter Naig, 85, who died Thursday evening at his
Osage home. Death was caused from complications incidental to old age. The body is at the Champion Funeral Home.

He was born in October, 1871, at Stavanger, Norway, coming to the United States with his family in 1880. They settled in Cedar Township near Osage. As a young man he was a buttermaker at Kensett.

In 1908, he was married to Bertina Nelson and they lived in Osage. He was formerly an employee of International Harvester and later served as repairman for windmills and pumps.

Mr. Naig is survived by his wife and seven children, Myrtle Brandau; Nels and Lloyd, all of
Osage; Mrs. E.F. Kruger, Fredricksburg; Clifford, Veterans Hospital, Knoxville; Mrs. Earl (Josephine) Lynch, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Francis (Dorothy) Simpson, Garden City, Michigan, 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
