FORMER MITCHELL COUNTY RESIDENT IS BURIED HERE

Funeral services for John William Gray, 43, were held at the Champion funeral home Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in the Osage cemetery. Mr Gray suffered a paralytic attack last fall and had a heart attack Saturday morning at his home in Floyd from which he did not recover.

Mr Gray was born on December 1, 1903, the son of Warner and Dora (Graham) Gray in Mitchell county.
He accompanied his parents to South Dakota in 1905, returning to Mitchell County in 1914.
He was united in marriage with Thelma Nelson of St. Ansgar in 1922 and the couple lived their entire married lives on farms in Mitchell and Floyd counties.

Surviving are his wife,mother, two sons, Selmer and Clifford, both at home; two brothers, James of Osage and Richard of Charles City.
