STACYVILLE, IOWA -- Friends in Stacyville received word of the death of Russel Tyler, 77, in Big Spring, Texas. He had recently suffered a stroke and was stricken with pneumonia.

For several years he had been a resident at a nursing home in Big Spring. Mr. Tyler is survived by his widow, Hazel Vernon Tyler, now of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Mr. and Mrs. Tyler formerly were residents of this community and moved away a few years ago.

He had previously suffered a stroke and then was stricken with pneumonia. For the past several years he had been a resident at a nursing home in Big Spring. His widow, Mrs. Hazel Vernon Tyler, resides in St. Petersburg, Florida.
